On earth acceleration due to gravity, g = 9.81 m/s^2. It is constant everywhere on earth approximately. So, the gravitational pull on an objecteither going up or coming down will be equal. It is “acceleration due togravity”, i.e. it accelerates or increases velocity of a falling object at every instant.
