Given that,

Size of the object is 0.6 cm

Object distance is 30 cm from a convex mirror

Focal length of the convex mirror is 15 cm

To find,

The position, size and nature of the image.

Solution,

Let v is the image distance from the mirror. Using mirror's formula to find it.

\dfrac{1}{f}=\dfrac{1}{u}+\dfrac{1}{v}

Plugging all the values in above formula such that,

\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{f}-\dfrac{1}{u}\\\\\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{15}-\dfrac{1}{(-30)}\\\\v=10\ cm

Magnification,

m=\dfrac{-v}{u}=\dfrac{h'}{h}

h' is size of image

h'=\dfrac{-vh}{u}\\\\h'=\dfrac{-10\times 0.6}{-30}\\\\h'=0.2\ cm

The formed image is virtual and erect.
