The pores which are small openings on the surface of leaf are known as Stomata.

Functions of Stomata:-

1.They allow diffusion of carbon dioxide inside the leaf to facilitate photosynthesis.

2.They allow diffusion of waste products such as oxygen outside the leaf which benefits other living organisms such as animals.

They have the function to release excess water and gas.
