Explanation:

Zig Ziglar’s inspirational words ‘When obstacles arise, you change your direction; you do not change your decision to reach there’ are absolutely right. As we set a goal in front of us to reach, we will definitely have to face obstacles. Obstacles teach us the value of adaptability. Adaptability is the skill to change our strategy to surmount the obstacles standing between us and our goal.  Jesse Owens’s story MY GREATEST OLYMPIC PRIZE is a beautiful example of Zig Ziglar’s words. Jesse Owens applied this principle of adaptability to qualify and win a gold medal in the Olympics of 1936 held at Berlin. Before winning the medal he was finding it hard to qualify for the final event. Then on the advice of Luz Long, a rival who became his friend later, he did some adaptations. The adaptation helped him qualify. Later on in the final event he won the gold medal.

If Jesse had not changed his direction, he would not have qualified or the main event. In conclusion it can be said when obstacles arise, you change your direction; you do not change your decision to reach there.
