when offspring is produced by a single parent with or without the involvement of gamete formation, the reproduction is asexual. my doubt is how in asexual reproduction a gamete is involved... read the above definition carefully to get my question and pls give a good answer. the defination is of class 12 ncert book, page no. 5....

The sentence is absolutely wrong in asexual reproduction gametes develop from somatic cells and not germ cells so they do not need gametes.. by the way where have u read this sentence?
