When one moves from bright place to dark room chair are not seen.why?

when one moves from a bright place to a dark room, u cant see anything because the sensitive cells if eyes- rods release rhodopsin.....rods do not activate colours in our eyes therfore we cannot perceive colours when rhodopsin is released......
