2x-1 = 0

x=1/2

so by substituting the value of x as

4(1/2)^3 - 12(1/2)^2 +11(1/2) -5

4(1/8)-12(1/4) + 11 (1/2)

2(1/4) - 12/4 + 11/2

2/4 -12/4 +11/2

1/2 - 3 + 11/2

5/2 + 11/2

5+11/2

16/2

= 8

so answer is = 8
