Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the price be Rs 100/litre and Consumption be 1 litre

25% increase in price

Price of petrol = Rs 125/litre

By Unitary method

Rs 125 can purchase 1 litre with new price

Rs 1 can purchase  1/125 litre

Rs 100 can purchase 1*100/125 litre = 0.8l

Percentage change in consumption = (1-0.8)/1 = 0.2/1 = 20%
