When reaction of an alkene occurs with nbs ,then why peroxide effect is not visible even if peroxide is used as initiator and also the reaction is a radical substitution type??

When an unsymmetrical reagent is treated with unsymmetrical alkene in presence of peroxide,then addition takes place against the Markownikoff's rule i.e. negative part of reagent adds to that carbon ot carbon-carbon double bond which carries more number of hydrogen atoms. This is known as peroxide effect.
