====================================

☆When connected in SERIES

Given : R1= 2ohm, R2= 5ohm, R3= 3ohm

Formula: R=R1+R2+R3

R=2+5+3

R=10

⇒Hence Resistance in SERIES= 10ohm

===================================

☆When connected in PARALLEL

Given : R1= 2ohm, R2= 5ohm, R3= 3ohm

Formula:  \frac{1}{R}=\frac{1}{R1} +\frac{1}{R2} +\frac{1}{R3}

\frac{1}{R} =\frac{1}{2} +\frac{1}{5} +\frac{1}{3}

\frac{1}{R} =\frac{(15+10+6)}{30}

R=\frac{31}{30}

⇒Hence Resistance in PARALLEL 0.967 Ohms

Hope it Helps !!!
