When solar eclipse occurs birds return to their nest why?

It’s a trick. When the eclipse happen, animals think it’s night time so then they go back to their nests and homes. Then the coyotes also come out. But then when the sun comes back out all the animals come back out.

Well, birds are probably as confused about a solar eclipse as humans are - assuming the humans had not read about the upcoming solar eclipse.

So, birds notice that the light is fading and they do what they normally do when the light starts fading. They settle in for the night.

Then, a few minutes later, after the total eclipse is over, light returns, and the birds say “Oh, well, that was a false alarm! Or maybe it was a really short night!” And then they resume flying and hunting for food, or building a nest, or whatever it was they were doing just before the eclipse, like maybe pursuing that gorgeous female bird they were trying to impress.
