When sodium ethanoate is added to aqueous solution of acetic acid, then why does the pH value increases. As we know that, Sodium acetate is formed by the neutralization reaction of sodium hydroxide which is a very strong base and acetic acid which is weak acid. So, the basic salt is formed.
