When steam is passed over red hot iron ,magnetic oxide of iron and hydrogen are obtained. the reation between steam and red-hot is a Reversible reaction . what is meant by this statement?

If the reaction temperature is more , I. e if temperature of steam is more then magnetic oxide of iron and hydrogen will recombine to produce iron and steam back again- this is called reversible reaction

If steam is passed over red hot iron , it is converted into its magnetic oxide and hydrogen gas.If on the other hand , hydrogen is passed over heated magnetic oxide , it will change back to iron and steam.This reaction can be made to proceed in both direction , so it is called Reversible Reaction.
