when sugar is dissolved in water the level of water does not rise becayse the sugar particles are settle between the space between particles pf water so, the volume of water does not increase

This is actually in example of the characteristics of matter,
they are very small particles...
When sugar is mixed in water its particles are really small and hence, they fit in between the inter molecular spaces of water molecules and hence, the water level does not rise.
