when sugar is dissolved in water there is hardly on increase in volume? explain?

It is because when sugar particles are dissolving under water it doesn't move in it..it goes under the intermolecular spaces of the particles of water that is why there is A very less ride in water.

when sugar is dissolved in water there is no increase in the volume of the water because the particle of have space between them so the particle of suger goes into the particle of sugar
and hence no increase in the volume of water.
