"When sugar is dissolved in water there is no increase in volume". Is it true or false? Comment on the statement keeping in mind the amount of sugar, amount of water etc.

Because sugar occupies the empty intermolecular voids between the water molecules. However after saturation , if more sugar is added the volume will increase

This statement is true if the quantity of sugar/salt is less.
Because the particles of sugar or salt get struck in the empty spaces between the particles of water so no change is noticed in the volume of water until a large quantity of sugar is dissolved in sugar/salt solutions.
