Zinc reacts with dilute sulphuric acidto form zinc sulphate and hydrogen gas is evolved. This is a single displacement reaction of a non-metal by a metal. The zinc will react withsulphuric acid forming zinc sulphate dissolved in solution and releasing hydrogen gas. ... This shows the presence of Hydrogen .

Zn + H2SO4 ----> ZnSO4 + H2 ⬆

EXPERIMENT

Aim of experiment - to show when dilute sulphuric acid react with zinc hydrogen gas is evolved.

Material required - conical flask, zinc granule, dilute sulphuric acid.

Procedure - take some drink dilute sulphuric acid over zinc granules we will see that bubbles of hydrogen gas being form around zinc granules.
