Blue light gets scatter more than red light - so the blue light appears to come from all directions.
Some of the sun's light is absorbed (i.e. X rays and most UV)
visible light mostly hits the ground and heats it.
Some if reflected.

VIolet light, not rays, get scattered most. But our eyes are more sensitive to blue light, it appears that blue light is most scattered as the sky appears blue. Violet has the least wavelength. so it gets scattered the most. Blue has nearly the same wavelength, and beacuse eyes are more sensitive to blue light, it appears that blue light is most scattered as the sky appears blue.
