When sunlight is focussed on a sheet of paper through a convex lens , the paper starts burning , while it does not happen case of a concave lens. Can you state why ?

Convex lenses concentrates the light energy to one spot on the paper so that the heat

It does not happen in case of concave lens because concave lens are diverging lens so they can not focus the rays/heat  while convex lens are converging lens so they can focus the rays/heat on the piece of paper and the paper rhen starts burning
