The Swadeshi Day was celebrated in India on 29th May 1932.
During the Civil Disobedience Movement Congress used various means and methods to pressurize British for more and more constitutional reforms and self determination. Government Institutions and foreign products were boycotted and Indian made goods were promoted. The Movement progressed when Madan Mohan Malaviya founded All India Swadeshi Sangh and called 29th May 1932 to be celebrated as All India Swadeshi Day.
