1/2 cups sugar : 3 2/5 cup flour

let the no. of cups of sugar be x

x:23 4/5

(1/2)/x = (3 2/5)/(23 4/5)

1/2x=(17/5)/(119/5)

1/2x=17/119

2x=119/17

x=7/2

x=3.5 cups sugar
