When tall pea plant were selfed, some of the offspring were dwarf? Explain with the help of a punnett square. ​

Answer:

in 2 cases a plant can be tall.....TT or Tt if TT plants are selfed we will get all its progeny tall

but in case we have dwarf progeny along with tall.....so we have Tt plants

The tall pea plant that was selfed must be heterozygous in nature i.e having gametes T and t. The cross will be:

Tt X Tt results in 1 TT, 2 Tt, (all of which are tall plants ) and 1 tt, which will be the only dwarf plant.
