hey mate here is the answer

*****************************************

here angle of incidence (i) = 42°

refractive index of glass (n) = 1.5

for total internal reflection, we know that the angle of refraction must be 90°

let critical angle = C

therefore, 1/sin C = n

=> sin C = 1/1.5

=> C = sin^-1(0.66)

=> C = 41.3°

since glass is denser medium the ray will bend towards the normal

hope it helpsO:-)
