when the current flowing through a straight conductor is increased, what happen to the strength of its magnetic field?

If the current in the wire increases then the needle of the compass needle placed at that point gets deflected by a larger angle. The strength of magnetic field at a point due to this current carrying conductor is directly proportional to the current.
