★ The Food is necessary because it provides various nutrients to our body like vitamins, proteins, fats, minerals, and carbohydrates. These nutrients play an essential role in the existence of an organism and its health. In turn, these nutrients help us in developing and growing our body. A diet which contains different kinds of food in particular proportions and quantities in such a way that the need for proteins, calories, vitamins, minerals, and other micronutrients is called a balanced diet.

★ A balanced diet helps in supplying the nutrients to the body so that the body can work effectively. If a balanced diet is eliminated from daily food eating habits, then the body becomes more prone to infections, diseases, low performance, and fatigue. In children, if healthy food habits are not inculcated then they may face developmental and growth problems, frequent infections, and even poor academic performance.
