Edison made the first public demonstration of his incandescent light bulb on December 31, 1879, in Menlo Park.

FACT- While making the light bulb, edison failed more than a thousand times. On being asked about this , he said "I know a thousand ways by which you cannot make a bulb"

Isn't it interesting that how he never looked back on the failures he faced but he always saw it in a positive way.  :D
