When the gas formed on heating limestone is passed through freshly prepared lime water,the lime water turns milky. Give scientific reason.

Because The Gas(CO2) has a test that when it is passed through a freshly prepared lime water it will turn milky. Lime Water turns milky when you pass carbon dioxide through it because a reaction that produce a white precipitate takes place.
