Answer:

(a) value of unknown resistor is 9 ohm

tr=12 as 6/0.5=R

therefore r=3+r1

12-3=r1

r or unknown resistor=9

(b) charge flowing through 3 ohm resistor is 60coloumb

charge q=it=0.5*120=60

(c) power dissipated  is 0.75W

(iii) Power dissipation, P = I2R P = 0.52 x 3 =0.75 W
