If the graphs of the two equations are parallel lines, then there will be no solution, and the system is called an inconsistent system because the two lines will never intersect each.

Inconsistent ( no solution)

It happens when:-

let two equations be

a1x +b1y + c1 = 0 and a2x + b2y + c = 0,

a1/a2 = b1/b2 ≠ c1/c2

So it would have no solution and would be inconsistent
