name of the poet is Coates Kinney

2- humid shadows are dark clouds that produce rain. Humid means full of moisture & shadows means moisture ladder clouds that can make rain

3- they move around the stars & rains & hide them

4- the poet calls darkeness melancholy because it makes him very sad.. he sees rain as the tears of darkness & he feels unhappy
