There are different types of nastic movement and one is called thigmonastic movement. Thigmonasty is one of the forms of nasal movement in response to vibration or touch of a fungus or plant.

Thigmonasty and thigmotropism are different though both responses are due to the touch stimulus. Thigmotropism a directional response, while thigmonasty is not.
