but square has only sides . It has no length and breadth.

ok ok when u r given the length (side) of the square n the perimeter first of all, all sides of a square measure the same that is they are all equal in length n secondly if only perimeter is given, u can divide the perimeter by "4" to get the measurement of 1 side. It is divided by "4" becoz a square has 4 equal sides
