Given:-

Percentage of students that increases in the school : 30%

The new number of students in the school : 455

To find:-

The number of students previously in the school : ?

Let us assume it as : x

Answer:-

30% of x + x = 455

(30/100 × x)+ x = 455

(3/10 × x)+ x = 455

3x/10 + x = 455

(3x+10x)/10 = 455

13x = 455×10

13x = 4550

x= 350

So, The number of students previously in the school was 350 .
