The work done in circular motion about a pivot is zero according to the definition of physics and this is strictly valid when the ball completes atleast one complete rotation. Work is done in a circular motion uptill the point just before the initial point . Displacement = Velocity * time and we know velocity is a vector quantity and if we come to the same point after covering a distance , the displacement is zero .

Work = Force * Displacement
Work = Force * 0
Work = 0 [ Since anything multiplied by 0 is zero ]
This is how the work done is zero .
