when ph of mouth is lower than 5.5 tooth be starts decaying as tooth enamel, made of Calcium phosphate is the hardest substance in the body. it does not dissolve in water but will corrode. bacteria present in mouth produce acids by degradation of sugar & food particles remaining in our mouth after eating.
