When the plate area of a capacitor increases the capacitance?

• when the area of the capacitor increases, the capacitance also increases.

• It is because, area of the parallel plate capacitor is directly proportional to the capacitance of the capacitor.

c \:  \:  =  \frac{ea}{d}

here ' e ' represents epsilon not where it denotes the permitivity and ' A ' denotes area of the capacitor and ' d ' denotes the distance between the parallel plate capacitor , ' c ' denotes the capacitance of the capacitor.

• we can clearly notice that, capacitance of the capacitor is directly proportional to the area.
so, when area increase the capacitance also increases.
