Hey dear!!!!

=> Refer from the attachment which I have provided.

While dividing the given polynomial p(x) = 6x⁴ + 8x³ + 17x² + 21x + 7 by 3x² + 4x + 1

The remainder comes [x + 2 ]

If you have doubt regarding the answer then we can prove it .

=> We have ,

Dividend => 6x⁴ + 8x³ + 17x² + 21x + 7
Divisor ==> 3x² + 4x + 1
Quotient => 2x² + 5
Remainder => x + 2

We know that ,

Dividend = divisor * Quotient + Remainder

It means L.H.S = R.H.S

So, lets prove it !!!

=> taking R.H .S

=> 3x² + 4x + 1*(2x² + 5) + x + 2

=> 6x⁴ + 15x² + 8x³ + 20x + 2x² + 5 + x + 2

Now, add the like terms,

=> 6x⁴ + 8x³ + 17x² + 21x + 7

Hence, it proved ✓✓

∴ L.H.S = R.H.S

Our answer is correct ✓✓✓ !

Hope this will help you !!

Thanks !!
