when the polynomial p(x) = 2x - 3x +kx + 4 is divided by (x-1), 7 is obtained as the remainder. What is the value of K ?

x-1=0

x=1

P(x)=2x-3x+kx+4

P(1)=2(1)-3(1)+k×1+4

P(1)=2-3+k+4

P(1)=6-3+k

P(1)=3+k

Given,

7 is obtained as the remainder

3+k=7

k=7-3

k=4

Therefore the value of k is 4
