Given data :

If the pulp is extracted from a mango, it weights \frac{1}{3} rd of the mango.

To find :

If the pulp is extracted from 2400kg mangoes, how much mango pulp will be prepared?

Solution :

As it isn't given that how many mangoes together weigh a kg, let us assume that, 1 mango weighs 1 kg.

The pulp we can extract from that mango is  \frac{1}{3} rd of its weight =  1/3 kg

If  1 kg mango ----------------------> 1/3 kg pulp

  2400 kg mangoes -------------> ? kg pulp

2400 mangoes give  \frac{1}{3} x 2400 = 800 kgs of pulp.

Therefore, 800 kgs of pulp can be extracted from 2400 mangoes.
