4 is the whole number and 7 is the number repeated

47 - 4 = 43

43 is the numerator

7 is a 1 digit number

1 ×9 = 9

7 is the only number after the decimal point so there is no 0 after the 9

if the number was 4.27777 there would have been a 0 after the 9 making it 90 and if the number was 4.227777 there would have been 2 0s after the 9 making 900 the denominaor but in this case there is no 0 making rthe denominator 9

43/9 = 4.7777777
