Let side of Square is X cm
Now area of Square is X^2-------(1)

If side is increased by 5cm then new area is 135 cm^2 more than old area.From here we get that,

(X+5)^2=X^2+135

X^2+25+10X=X^2+135

10X=110

So X=11cm
