K.E of ball=1/2mv²
when speed or velocity is doubled i.e. 2v
therefore new K.E=1/2m(2v)²
                          =4 × 1/2mv²
Hence, the new K.E becomes 4 times the earlier K.E.

syedaleemuddin: thanks for the wrte answer
