Pressure= force/surface area
Let pressure be P
Force be f
Surface area be A

According to the question surface area increases by 4 times. So now, A=4A.

Initially, P=f/A ....(1)
Now, P=f/4A ....(2)
From (1) and (2)
f/A= f/4A=> P=1/4
Hence the pressure decreases by four times.
