p1v1/t1 =p2v2/t2

p1=p ; p2=p/2

v1=v ; v2=v²

t1=30°c⇒303k   ; t2=606k

pv/303=pv²/2×606

v=4 dm³

According to ideal gas law,

( P₁ X V₁ ) / T₁ = ( P₂ X V₂ ) / T₂

Here, T₁ = (30+273) K = 303 K

T₂ = 606 K

P₁ = P unit

P₂ = P/2 unit

V₁ = V unit

V₂ = V² unit (numerically)

therefore,

(P X V) / 303 = { (P/2) X V² } / 606

or, 1 = (V/2) / 2

or, V = 4

The value of V is 4.
