HOPE IT HELPS :

When the Moon is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun its Earth-facing side is fully illuminated producing the Full Moon. As the Moon follows its path from the Full Moon position less and less of the Earth-facing side is illuminated resulting in the “waning” phases

A full moon rises at sunset , but a Waning Gibbous moon rises later at night and appears in the morning sky .

A waning Gibbous Moon occurs when more than half of the lit position of the Moon can be seen and the shape decreases in size from one day to the next .

It occurs between the full moon and the Third Quarter Phase .

When the moon is on the opposite side of the Earth from sun its Earth-facing side is illuminated producing the Waning Gibbous Moon .
