When there is darkness we are not able to see the person but after some time the person is visible, but not that clear. Why?

this is because light is made of small invisible particles called photons which are seen only when it hits something.

This is because the size of pupil is small . when we enter the dark room , the pupil expands and more light enters the eye enabling us to see .
