Case - 1
Relative speed = Relative distance / Time
v₁ + v₂ = 16 / 10 = 1.6m/s —–(1)

Case - 2
Relative speed = Relative distance/ Time
v₁ - v₂ = 3/5 = 0.6m/s —-(2)

Add equations (1) and (2)
2v₁ = 2.2
v₁ = 1.1 m/s

Substitute v₁ = 1.1m/s in equation (1)
v₂ = 1.6 - 1.1
v₂ = 0.5 m/s

Velocities of two bodies are 1.1m/s and 0.5m/s
