When two bodies move uniformly towards
eachother the distance between them
decreases by 8 m/s. If both bodies move in
the same direction with different speeds the
distance between them increases 2 m/s. The

When the two bodies moving uniformly towards each other,

x + y = 8 ....... (1)

and, when the bodies move in the same direction with the same speeds,

x - y = 4 ..... (2)

Solving (1) and (2)

x = 6 and y = 2

The speed of the bodies is 6 m/s^2 and 2 m/s^2
