there are two different types of currents cold current and hot aur warm current when they meet around the coast thenthe difference in the temperate between warm and cold currents is only few degrees .wamcurrent flows from the equatorial region towards the polar region why cold current flows from the polar region towards the equatorial region and when they both are mixed in the coast they formed cold temperature because hot air is lighter so it moves upwards in the post and cold air is heavier so it move downward
