Given:

When two non zero vectors are added the resultant magnitude is found to be either lesser or than equal to the magnitude of either vector.

To Find:

What will be the angle of two vector ?

Solution:

let here , A and B be two non-zero vectors such that A>B, which are added to give resultant vector R.

so, according to question ;

\vec R=\sqrt{\vec A^2+\vec B^2+2\vec A \vec B cos\theta}\\\\R^2=A^2+B^2+2AB cos \theta  where, θ is the angle between vectors A and B.

here, according to question, we have

A^2=A^2+B^2+2AB cos\theta\\\\cos\theta=\dfrac{-B}{2A}

Since, at 180 degree the resultant of two vectors are minimum as equal to difference of two vectors.

Thus, resultant of two vectors is found to be either equal or less than the magnitude of either vector if the two vectors are at a sufficiently large obtuse angle.
